public service component
We strongly believe in the importance of top-notch design in everything presented to the public. While for-profit endeavors always budget for aesthetically pleasing imagery to sell their product, non-profit entities often cannot afford to do so when attracting audiences, asking for donations or informing the world about their cause or issue. Even though we are a small company, we believe it is our responsibility to bridge this inequity.
At any point in time, a portion of our time and resources are devoted to uncompensated projects benefiting the community at large. We refer to the set of these projects as the public service component of our business. Conversely, all of our paying clients are strongly encouraged to use a part of their websites or space in printed materials or advertisements to help cross-promote a current Advedia PSC project of their choosing.
A partial list of our current and past PSC projects:
Katrina Victims .Org — the first bulletin board for people seeking and offering help after the worst natural disaster on American soil
Dance for a Cure — an annual production benefiting the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Pete Gross House
Russian Cultural Center, Seattle — an organization with a 50-year history of serving immigrant families in the greater Seattle area
KVN America Organization for Amateur Arts and Creative Competitions — intercollegiate improvisational comedy theater competition
